A History of Kph Construction...

Formed over 25 years ago KPH Construction Ltd is a locally owned and operated company. In it's early years, KPH was purely a house building company, but with transition and development we are now one of the larger construction companies of the north. Housing still plays a large part in our operation, but over the last 17 years we have completed most of the larger projects in the far north including, Kaitaia Police Station, Kaitaia Fire Station, Coopers Beach properties, Kaikohe District Court, Kaitaia Telephone Exchange, Taipa Gymnasium, St Saviours Church, Kaitaia College Maori Studies Block, Wine Cottage Mangonui, Switzer Memorial Home Extension, Kaitaia District Court. Kaitaia Library, Te kura Kaupapa Maori Te Rangi Aniwanawa, FNDC Offices, Kaitaia RSA, Kauri Cliffs Chalets, Juken Nissho Triboard Mill, Kaitaia College Admin, Kaitaia College Library, Mangonui Police Station. With a staff of up to 35, our company is known through Northland for its commitment to training apprentices. For the last 25 years KPH has taken on between 1 and 2 apprentices every year, and a reflection of this is the number of self-employed builders in the north who have come through our ranks.

Our company Philosophy is to be totally involved with our community. Over the years, we have been involved in the planning and production of some of the north's most well known buildings - Kaitaia Police Station, Kaitaia District Court, St Saviours Church, Kaitaia College J Block, Kaitaia Telephone Exchange, and more recently the Kaitaia hospital redevelopment.
